The majority of presentation skills courses are conducted by people who don’t present for a living. But Paul McGee is different. He speaks around the world. It’s his job. It’s what he does. SUMO Presentation Masterclass (Part One)

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to develop their skills, confidence and effectiveness as a presenter, whether pitching for business, making an impact at meetings or standing out in an interview situation.

You will learn:

• The seven major mistakes of presenting and how to overcome them
• How to manage anxiety and use nerves to your advantage
• The 12 ways to make your presentation memorable and engaging
• How to make slides sizzle and sell rather than induce deep states of sleep
• How to deal with questions and tough audience members
• How to use the SUMO approach to coach yourself when things go wrong

The day will be participative, relaxed and will involve small group exercises. It will not require you to make a formal presentation to the rest of the group.

SUMO Presentation Masterclass (Part Two)

Who is it for?

This one day workshop provides a unique opportunity to be coached personally by Paul McGee, one of the UK’s leading presenters and presentation coaches. Strictly limited to only eight places, the day will be of significant benefit to the more experienced presenter or those who are needing to present more in their current role. (Completion of the SUMO Presentation Masterclass Part One is advisable but not compulsory.)

You will learn:

• How to gain the competitive edge when making presentations
• Proven ways to influence and persuade an audience whatever the situation
• How to disarm a negative and sceptical audience
• How to ensure people are more receptive and open to your ideas – even ones they may initially resist
• How to think quickly on your feet and remain calm under pressure

This day is a highly participative workshop where learning and discovery comes through practising the skills as well as observing others. Because of the nature and style of the day and in order to maximise the benefit to yourself the maximum group size is eight people.

You will be required to make a presentation (prepared beforehand lasting a maximum of ten minutes).
